The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Helmuth.

8.5 Water & Sewer Service Lines Policy

8.6 Revitalize Town Square

That Council proceed with plans to revitalize the area by removing the cement circles and paving stones and placing four picnic tables in those areas.

8.7 HVAC Agreement Proposal

That Council enter into a one year agreement with Ainsworth to provide HVAC maintenance on al the Town buildings at a cost of $10,970.00 plus taxes and that certification of qualifications of the people doing the maintenance be provided to the Town.

8.8 Canada Community Revitalization Fund Application

That the Town proceed with a project application through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund for the construction of a Multi-Use Trail and approve to provide 25% of the project funding as required.

8.9 Highway Commercial Drainage Design

That Council proceed with the proposed drainage design project by Catterall & Wright at a cost of approximately $40,000.00 plus taxes, to design a drainage system for the Highway Commercial District between the Railway and Highway 11 and that the project be paid out of transportation reserves and that the reserve account be paid back through the 2022 operating budget.

8.10 Railway Crossing - Flow Capacity

That Council proceed with contracting SAL Engineering at a cost of $2,410.00 plus taxes, to determine if the culverts in the creek railbed have the capacity to accomodate the Water Security Agencies estimated peak flow of  25 m3/s.

8.11 Lion's Club Request

That Council approve the Lion's Club's request to serve alcohol on their deck at their building located at 2008 - 6th Street on the following conditions due to the deck being adjacent to residences:
  1. That a six foot privacy fence be set up around the deck.
  2.  That alcohol not be served on the deck after 11:00 p.m.

8.12 6005-6th Street Servicing

That Council proceed with extending the 6th Street and 6th Avenue sewer main by 32 meters in order to accomodate service connections to the end of the block for a cost of $15,712.

8.13 Gabriel Springs Hydrogeologic Investigation Tender

That Council award McAllister Drilling Inc. the 2021 Hydrogeologic Investigation Tender for the Gabriel Springs area at the base price of $240,206.12.  .

  2. Casual Lifeguard, Jaimie Fiddler - $15.97/hr
  3. Casual Lifeguard, Reed Fitzgerald - $15.72/hr
